Administration

The Administrative Assistant assists the County Commissioners on a daily basis taking phone calls, preparing the BOCC agenda and packet, tracking road projects, research, preparing bid packages, maintaining vendor lists, overseeing the HCRA program, etc.

The insurance coordinator is responsible for administering the County's insurance program for health, dental & vision insurance, workers' compensation, general liability, automobile liability and property damage claims.

The Holmes County Safety Committee was establised March 19, 2009 and presented a Safety Manual to the BOCC for approval on December 8, 2009. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the committee and scheduling regular training for the employees. The safety of employees is a high priority of the Safety Committee as well as the BOCC. Having an active committee also reduces the insurance premium for the County.

Holmes County is a Drug-Free Workplace and requires testing for drugs as a condition of employment.
